Part Time Kitchen Cook

The position at a glance:

The Part-Time Kitchen Cook works alongside the Kitchen Manager to provide high-quality meals that help create an environment where people can know and grow in Christ. This position is responsible for cooking, baking, and assisting with the supervision of kitchen staff during assigned shifts. The Kitchen Manager provides training, scheduling, supervision, and food ordering, while the Part-Time Cook helps ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with excellence.

Some responsibilities may be reassigned, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Schedule & Hours

Summer: Set weekday hours with additional weekend opportunities.

Fall–Spring: Primarily Saturdays, some Sundays, plus occasional weekday hours for meal preparation and food prep.

Responsibilities:

·Prepare and serve quality meals for camps, retreats, and guest groups.

·Bake a variety of menu items as needed.Assist in supervising kitchen staff and volunteers during assigned shifts.

·Follow recipes, food safety guidelines, and sanitation standards.

·Assist with food preparation, serving, cleanup, and dishwashing.

·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

·Monitor food quality and proper food storage.

·Work cooperatively with the Kitchen Manager and other staff to provide an excellent guest experience..

Minimum Qualifications:

The Part-Time Kitchen Cook should be able to:

·Stand for extended periods of time.

·Lift, unload, and move food, supplies, dishes, and kitchen equipment.

·Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment, including electrical and mechanical appliances.

·Operate the dishwasher while maintaining proper sanitation and temperature standards.

·Determine the cleanliness of dishes, food-contact surfaces, and kitchen areas.

·Monitor the quality and condition of food products.

·Maintain appropriate kitchen inventory and assist with organization of supplies.

Housekeeping Staff

The position at a glance:

As a Housekeeping Staff Member, you’ll help create a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for everyone who visits Inspiration Hills. Responsibilities include cleaning cabins, bathrooms, meeting spaces, and other areas around camp while helping prepare our facilities for campers, retreat groups, and guests.

Schedule & Hours

Flexible hours!

May-September: 30-40 hours /week

September-April: 15-20 hours /week depending on vacancy

Must be willing to work weekend and some holidays.

Tasks:

-Clean, mop, dust, vacuum, and all other tasks to prepare spaces for guests

-Seasonal Jobs: Paint, clean carpets, plant flowers, decorate for Christmas and other holidays with selected staff involvement.

-Other tasks as assigned and other tasks based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Dedicated and committed Christian

-Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting things

-Desire and ability to work in a camp setting
