What to Expect

GETTING SETTLED IN

The first day of camp is a different experience for every Intro to Wilder camper. For some, excitement is high in anticipation of the adventure ahead, for others, it might be their first time away from home, and they are nervous! Their counselor's mission is to meet them where they're at, get to know them, and help them adjust to the new environment.

Day one of Intro to Wilder typically includes chapel and worship, followed by games and activities.

After a long and exciting day, campers will hunker down for the night in a tentabin (tent+cabin) at our Wilderness Camp.

TIME FOR FUN!

On the second day of Intro to Wilder, campers can look forward to another chapel and worship session. During this time, our counselors will help them process what they've been learning throughout the day with Bible study time.

Each camper will grow closer to their bunk group through the various team-building activities and their shared meals, cooked over the fire.

In the afternoon, campers also get to experience OAT (open activity time). This is a free time in which campers can enjoy our various games and activities at their own pace. OAT activities include the pool, canteen, basketball and sand volleyball courts, slip n' slide, and much more.

For supper,

PICK UP DAY!

The final day of Intro to Wilder includes final chapel and time to pack up.

Parents and family members are invited to come and see their kids sing and dance to all the songs and recap all the lessons they've learned throughout the week!

We always encourage parents to ask their camper what they learned on the drive home after the week is over. After all, camp may be over, but their journey doesn't stop there!
