Day camp is the beginning of the journey for many campers!


Campers arrive at 8:30 AM each morning and spend the day exploring camp! Explorers have the opportunity to experience different areas at camp, such as the horses at Saddle Up and a meal cooked over the fire at the Wilderness Camp!


Other activities include the pool, games, worship, chapel, and much more! The day ends at 3:30 Monday-Thursday. On Friday, we have a free-will donation lunch at noon, followed by final chapel at the outdoor stage area.


Busing is available for Day Campers.

What to Expect

LET'S GET STARTED!

The first day of camp is a different experience for everyone. For some, excitement is high in anticipation of the adventure ahead, for others it might be there first time away from home and they are nervous! Their counselor's mission is to meet them where they're at, get to know them, and help get them adjust to the new environment. 


For Day Campers on this day, they'll get to sing silly worship songs and learn about Biblical concepts in a fun way through our daily chapels. Every day is filled with fun activities, crafts, swimming, and of course, yummy snacks! A special treat for Day Campers on this first day is that they get the opportunity to meet the horses we have up at Saddle Up Camp!

TIME TO EXPLORE

After drop-off on the second day of camp, each day campers is now more well acquainted with their bunk group and starting to be their silly selves! 


Each day at camp follows a similar routine, including daily worship, chapels, meals, crafts, and time swimming in the pool. However, each day is also very different because there is always a fun new activity to learn or a fun new game to play! Most importantly, there is always something new to learn about Jesus! 

THERES ALWAYS MORE TO LEARN

The third day of camp is another exciting experience. By this point, our counselors are trained to continue building on what the campers have learned during chapel times and keep on teaching them new things! Day campers are always learning!


One very special activity that Day Campers get to experience on this day is THE BIG HIKE! Like ducks in a row, the campers are led together throughout the woods, leading to a special fire-cooked meal at Wilderness Camp!

NEW ADVENTURES AWAITS!

By day 4, Day Campers are well acquainted with their daily summer camp routine! However, surprises are always right around the corner! 


Some of the unique activities that Day Camp is known for include the giant parachute, the mini zipline, and the big hamster wheels! Each new game is an experience like none other.


Of course, Day Camp is especially known for getting to spend over an hour hanging out in our swimming pool! 

THE LAST DAY!

After getting dropped off at camp one last time, Day Campers get to enjoy one final day with their counselor and bunk group. 


Afterward, it's time for Final Chapel! Parents and family members are invited to come and see their kids sing and dance to all the songs and recap all the lessons they've learned throughout the week! 


We always encourage parents to ask their camper what they learned on the drive home after the week is over. After all, camp may be over, but their journey doesn't stop there!

  • Where do I drop off my camper?

    When you arrive on property to drop off your camper, follow the signs that say "Day Camp". Drop off is usually at our canteen shelter, but on rainy days it is at the main lodge. Keep an eye on your emails for the most updated drop-off location. 

  • Can I send mail to my day camper?

    Yes! You may either give your mail to the coordinator at drop off in the morning, or you can email ihills@inspirationhills.org with your note.

  • Can my older camper who is going to another camp go on the bus with my day camper?

    No, only day campers who have registered to ride the bus will be on the bus.

  • How can I RSVP for Friday's final chapel?

    You may RSVP with the day camp coordinator at Monday registration or call the office at 712-986-5193.
