Take Me Fishing MINI-CAMP is a NEW camp we are offering this summer! If you have a kiddo who is interested in fishing and camp but is unsure, this is a great place to start!

Your camper can get a feel for what camp is like for a couple of days in hopes they will be ready for a full week of fishing at camp the following summer! This is a great camp not only to learn more about fishing, but more importantly, Jesus!

Campers will visit local bodies of water to fish at, and the other time will be spent at Inspiration Hills. Campers will be instructed by seasoned fishermen on how to fish.

As summer starts wrapping up and coming to a close, this is a great last adventure before school starts!

DROP OFF DAY

Drop off is at 3:30 on August 6th. The first day of camp is a different experience for everyone. For some, excitement is high in anticipation of the adventure ahead, for others it might be there first time away from home and they are nervous! Their counselor's mission is to meet them where they're at, get to know them, and help get them adjust to the new environment. For Take Me Fishing (TMF) campers, this evening includes their introduction, chapel, and a fishing workshop!

OUT TO FISH!

The morning will be spent fishing at local bodies of water. The afternoon will be spent hanging out at camp! Campers will be able to swim at the pool, play outdoor activities, shop the canteen, and more! In the evening, they will go out for fishing.

WRAP UP DAY

The campers will wrap up final activities, lessons, and a big game with the rest of the campers! We conclude our week by joining together for one last meal and time of worship before saying goodbye.

Take Me Fishing Camp FAQs

Questions? We’re here to help.

  • Where do I drop off my camper

Drop off for all overnight camps is at the main lodge! There will be staff to guide you through the process!

  • Can my camper have their phone?

At Inspiration Hills, we encourage our campers to fully unplug. Please, have your camper give you their phone. Phones will be confiscated and placed in a secure location until the end of the week.

  • What would you recommend for sleeping arrangements

Campers may bring mats, large pillows and more to sleep in their tent. Come prepared for sleeping in the Main Lodge AND camping out in tents!

  • Do we need to bring our own gear?

Yes! It is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED for your camper to bring their own fishing gear. If you don't own any, that is ok! We will make sure your camper has equipment to fish with.
