Program Overview

ORIENTATION: 

CHIPS  - CHristian Teens In Partnership with Summer Camp.

Participants will be briefed on the purpose of CHIPS as well as various expectations regarding areas of service. CHIPS will be mentored to strengthen their Christian foundation by: 1) adding to their knowledge of the Bible 2) developing a well rounded prayer life 3) practicing living their faith in community 4) learning to share their faith with others.  Brochure available to download.

SUMMER PROGRAM ASSISTANTS:

CHIPS will enjoy assisting in the overall implementation of summer programs. From leading devotions, to leading small and large group activities and games, to being assigned as an assistant to a “bunk group”, the opportunity for assisting in serving the social and spiritual needs of campers is part of the CHIPS experience.

COMMUNITY BUILDING:

Without question, one of the greatest rewards of CHIPS is the “community” building that happens. Living in the camp community, helping each other and campers too, CHIPS will be drawn together in Christian community with campers and staff alike. The projects they accomplish, camp fire, team building on the ropes course and sharing, will all provide for a camping experience found few other places.

SERVANT HOOD:

CHIPS will learn service by assisting with the many on-going needs related to the facility. There are buildings to be cared for, camp grounds and trails to groom, buildings to paint, trees to be planted and bushes to be trimmed.

Application Process

Applicants must be 15 years old and entering their Sophomore or higher year of high school.

CHIPS candidates need to follow our 2 step procedure:

Step 1: Fill out application

Have CHIPS recommendation form filled out by Pastor, Youth Pastor or Youth Leader.   Send the 2 forms to Inspiration Hills (no money at this time).

Step 2: You will receive an acceptance letter and packet with important information. Fill out and sign the Session Response Form and Health Record with Consent Form ( on back) and send along with the fee ($285 if before April 1; $295 if before May 1; $305 if after May 1) to:

CHIPS Session Dates:

Sessions last two (2) weeks with CHIPS arriving on Monday at 11 AM for orientation and leaving the second Friday at 2 PM. CHIPS weekend is spent building community and preparing for their week 'assisting the counselors' working with the campers.
