How can I get a registration form?

There are three ways to get a summer camp brochure and/or registration form.  (1) Download it off our web site Registrations & Applications (2) Call Inspiration Hills and ask to have one sent to you at toll free 866-858-3265 or (3) make a copy of a friend’s or sibling’s form.

When will Inspiration Hills begin taking registrations for the next summer?

As soon as you receive the summer camp brochure, you may register.  Inspiration Hills plans on mailing the summer camp brochure the second week of January.  This may vary a little because of printing delays.

How soon should I register?

As soon as you receive the summer camp brochure, whether in the mail at home or at church, you may fill out the registration form and send it in along with the parent’s portion of the fee payment.  Check with your church on how much they will contribute to the fee.  There is a discount of $10 if mailed on or before April 1.  There is also another fee ‘break’ if mailed before May 1.  Check out the chart in the brochure for prices and dates.

Who is the summer camp brochure mailed to?

The summer camp brochures are mailed to the home address of all campers who have attended during the past two (2) summers.  We also send a packet of several brochures to each church in the four supporting Classis, Christian Reformed Churches and to the area churches as well.

Do I register by the grade I’m in now, or by the grade I’m going into in the fall?

Register by the grade you will be in the fall.

Will I get a confirmation?

Yes.  We send out a letter of confirmation to all campers after we get their names in the computer.  Feel free to check on your camper’s registration if you do not receive a confirmation by calling toll free 866-858-3265 and ask for Daisy.

 How can I register?

You can only register by mail, by dropping it off at the office OR online as of 2008.  Fill out the registration form in the summer camp brochure (the form can be copied for a friend or other family members), be sure to fill out and sign the Health form on back.  Campers in Venture or Pathfinders (4-6 grades) need to have parents sign the consent form on the back of the registration form to participate in the Big Sioux River Canoeing with Big Valley R&R as well as send in the $15 fee.   Campers going into 7-9 grades (Quest or Guides) need parents  to sign the Consent Form for the Ropes Course on the back.

Can I list 2 bunkmates on my registration form?

Please only list one bunkmate.  If at all possible, find a friend to bunk with the third person.   There is no guarantee that 3 campers will be placed in the same bunk group.  We feel it is important to develop new friendships when at camp.

Does Inspiration Hills accept names on a waiting list if the week I want is full?

Yes we do.  But first try to find another week that would work for your camper.  There are no guarantees that you will get into camp if you are on a waiting list

How does Inspiration Hills’ scholarship program work?

Partial scholarships are available if we have the funds.  When filling out the registration form, have your Pastor fill out and sign the Scholarship Request box in the lower right hand corner of the front page.   You will need to send at least 1/3 of the registration fee with the completed form.  We will notify you by mail for the amount of scholarship granted.  (See General Camp Policies )

How do I apply for the CHIPS program?

It is a two-step process to be accepted into the CHIPS program.   (1) The camper must fill out the Step #1 application form and mail it in to Inspiration Hills.  This is a special form, Step #1, that you can get from your church office or download off this website.  Please do not send money at this time  (2) We will then review Step #1 and mail an acceptance letter and registration form Step #2.   The completed form along with fee payment and your choice of session needs to be mailed back to Inspiration Hills.   You will then get a confirmation letter.   Be prompt about sending in your Step #1 application and Step #2 form as we only have room for 10 CHIPS per session.

How can I get a CHIPS application?

To get a CHIPS step #1 application, contact your church office or call toll free 1-866-858-3265 and ask for a CHIPS application or download it from Registrations and Applications under Summer Camp.

I’m going into 6th grade and my friend is going into 7th grade.  Can we come together?

Since each camp is designed for the grades indicated, we require that you come during a week appropriate for your grade.

How many campers are in a bunk group?

The number of campers in a bunk group varies from grade to grade.  Discovery Camps (3rd graders) have a ratio of 6 campers to 1 counselor; Venture/Pathfinders (4-6 grades) have 8 campers to 1 counselor; Quest/Guides (7-9 grades) have 10 campers to 1counselor.  Day Camp is kept at 6 campers to 1 counselor ratio if at possible.  We sometimes stretch this number to fit in those desiring to come to camp.
